Bust 1 After Effects, Maya, mental ray, Photoshop, ZBrush July 2009
Here is the bust that I've been working on. Modeled in mostly in Maya using both polygons and NURBS. Modeled finer detail in Z-Brush. Textures created in Z-Brush and Photoshop. Rendered in Mental Ray, no FG or GI. Used MIA material for the metal and any metallic looking surface. For the first time I used the Mental Ray color mix node. This was for the makeup. I used the skin shader as the base and layered the car paint and MIA materials for the eyeshadow and lipstick. Also used the color mix node for the chair and clothes. Final composite and sparkles created in After Effects.
